New Phone Number

Have you ever heard of Google Voice? It's a new service that will enable me to keep the same telephone number forever. When you call the new number, Google Voice will ring any phone that I assign to it. It may ring on my cell phone, the home phone or even Tracey's cell phone (she doesn't know about that yet). If I am not available and you leave a message, Google Voice will automatically transcribe your message and text my cell phone (if it is assigned) or it will email it to me. I can even listen to it the old fashioned way if I want to.

It looks like it is going to work and I am pretty excited about this. Now I will not have to change everything everytime I get a new number.

Lake Tahoe - Heavenly

Well after a 23 hour trip to Lake Tahoe - No thanks to American Airlines (they did their best to mess up our trip!) we finally hit the slopes! We were exhausted but the weather was great and could not wait to ski! This was the best day that we ended up with. Tuesday, it was snowing and blowing but we toughed it out. Wednesday was terrible, there was snow along with 80 mph gusts at the top of the mountain. The flight home was very uneventful and we were greatful for that. Back to the grindstone on Monday. It was a great trip but I am happy to be home.

Jeff - maybe next year Dan will let us pan for gold!

Today started with a 7:30 flight from Detroit to Dallas - and we have been stuck here ever since! Three planes later we are finally taking off. Hope the snow is great in Tahoe!

What A Weekend!

Had a great weekend up north with family. Tracey and I headed up to Traverse City with her Sister Cheryl and Husband Craig. Craig and I got to enjoy some skiing on Saturday while Tracey and Cheryl gave tubing a try. It was nice and sunny (COLD but sunny). It was also Boyne's 4F weekend party at the Zoo Bar. There were some very interesting costumes floating around after skiing.

Sunday we all took it easy until game time. We all headed out to watch the Superbowl at a local establishment. We got off to a rocky start, the Staff couldn't find the game on any one of the hundreds of Direct TV Channels. They finally found it on most of the TV's (don't ask). The evening would have been perfect if the Colts would have won. Congratulations Saints, you deserve it (I still don't think the Lions will ever do it).

New iPhone App

Well I just downloaded and installed a new application for my iPhone. This post is being created from the phone. This new application will hopefully allow me to update this site a little more often and keep better tabs on all of it's traffic. Have a great week!

Weekend Getaway

Last weekend we headed up north to Elk Lake. We got to see some color in between the rain drops. It did stop raining long enough for all of us to head into the woods for a haunted forest. They did a great job putting it together! It is always a lot of fun going to a haunted house or forest with a group of people.

This was the view across the lake. I always seem to see a lot of reds and oranges when the trees change, but here there were lots of yellows. The shot below was of my favorite model (she cooperates the best and never complains) Britta. She got to go with us this weekend.

I have heard alot about a new program to put slide shows together. I had a few minutes today and put this one together. This is a slide show of our puppy (ok she's not really a puppy anymore, but she is at heart).

Digital Wake Up Call!

Last week I was able to attend David Ziser's seminar. The class was held in Southfield and it was great! I wasn't sure if I would make it or where I would take the class. I was in Lansing for a Fire Inspector's conference all week. I had to come home so I was able to make the Southfield class.

David spent most of the seminar describing what he does to make his lighting style stand out! He uses a technique that I tried with Kelsey's senior photos below. I love the way that it works. The only downside is that an assistant is needed.

At the end of the seminar, he went over a couple of new trends in the photography business. Stay tuned and we'll see which ones make it here!

As for the day job...... still don't know what it will bring in the next couple of weeks!
